Are you surprised that I’m talking about Kat Von D Beauty AGAIN? The answer is probably not. I think every second beauty post on here is a Kat Von D Beauty one. I really wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case. At least I can say that I know what I like, and can keep investing in it because I know I’ll always love it. That justifies the obsession/addiction, right? That’s what I keep telling myself, anyway… Moving on! I got a few more products for Christmas last year, so I’m showcasing them in today’s post. Some of them are limited edition, so be sure to keep an eye out for them ASAP if you’re interested!
Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner in ‘Trooper’
My one true love in eyeliner form. This product isn’t exactly new to me, as I’ve been using it for over a year. But I will say this: as long as it’s in production, I’ll never use another liquid eyeliner. That’s quite the claim, I know, but hear me out. It makes winged liner SO EASY. The paintbrush-like tip makes liquid eyeliner a breeze. Even after endless years of practice, that’s something that I thought I’d never say. One sweep makes a clean, black line with the most perfect wing every single time.
If that doesn’t sell you on the Tattoo Liner, I honestly don’t know what will! If you’re still having doubts about it, I can’t help but promise you that it’s worth a try. I’ve never heard a bad word said about this product (this may be because I live under a rock, but anyway…) and I think that speaks for itself. Try it, you won’t regret it.
Kat Von D Beauty ‘Lolita’ Eyeshadow and Blush
I’m gonna tell you a little story. Ten years ago, I was an emo kid through and through. Ten years later, I’m still that emo kid, albeit a little more grown-up and refined. The literal first time I tried the Lolita eyeshadow, I knew it was love. Because it creates the most perfect emo eye look you’ve ever seen in your life. Think Gerard Way from the ‘Helena’/Three Cheers era. I remember searching for the perfect red eye make-up back in the day and never finding it. Better late than never though huh?
The given shade name is a “chestnut rose”, similarly applied to the liquid lipstick in the same shade. It has a cool, blue-toned red hue to it, which is why I love it so much. It’s perfect for those ‘90s grunge looks everyone pines for, which makes it a total dream. AND, it’s also a blush, bonus! Being so pigmented and quite a dry formula, this product takes quite a bit of blending. But if you’re an avid fan of Kat Von D Beauty, you’ll know that it’s kind of the case across the board. Regardless of that, it’s my new favorite eyeshadow of anything I currently own. Paint. Me. Obsessed.
Kat Von D Beauty Saint and Sinner Mini Lipstick Set
‘Cause a gal can truly never have enough lipstick. I thought I did, but then Kat Von D revealed a new collection for her Saint and Sinner line and I may have lost my mind a little. For real though, considering that a single Everlasting Liquid Lipstick costs £20, getting to try eight mini ones for £40 is a complete steal. I’m not the only one who justifies my spending like that, right? RIGHT?!
The majority of the shades are incredibly wearable, with several neutral nudes and my favourite, ‘Lovecraft’, as well as rich burgundies and browns that are perfect for winter. Or any time of year, because the seasons shouldn’t be a lipstick-deciding factor now should they? I think this little set will help me to push my comfort zone in terms of make-up. I always lean towards nudes and reds, but with such dark shades in this set, maybe I’ll find a new favourite. I’m not sure what I’m going to use a black lipstick for, but I’m sure I’ll think of something!
