La Mode Must-Haves: The Christmas Edit

2018 has flown by in what seems like a matter of minutes. Christmas is essentially tomorrow, which is crazy to me. Time has passed so quickly, yet so much as changed at the same time? If you read my previous update post, you’ll know how much has changed over the course of this year. But today’s post isn’t for reminiscing, it’s the start of something new.

SHOP THE LOOK (or similar)

I’ve been thinking about my content and mulling over what I want 2019’s roster to look like. I’ve got a few potential series in the works, so I’m going to spend the next while testing them out, getting the cogs working again to truly see what works and what doesn’t. It’s a year of fresh perspective, I’m really excited to make the time for this little space, and give it my all in every regard.

Today’s post is a fashion one, not just showcasing what I’m wearing, but speaking about fashion too. I’m starting a little shop-style series (named ‘The Edit’), where I browse (and hopefully don’t influence myself to buy) products that I like/love/would wear and sum them all up in a post, with the aim of showcasing my style and hopefully bringing some inspiration to anyone who reads along. Given the time of year, we’ll start off with the Christmas Day edit. With that in mind, please enjoy, and let me know which items you love in the comments.

DRESSES

An easy one for Christmas, wherever you are. Whether you’re going for glam or comfort to hide the Christmas food baby (no shame – I do it every year), there’s an option for everyone in the dress market. Every single one I included here is velvet… If it’s not your thing (which I don’t understand – velvet is MY JAM), feel free to skip on through to the next section.

JUMPSUITS

I used to have this massive intolerence for jumpsuits, and now I can’t really remember why? I think turning 25 knocked it out of me, transforming it into some strange form of garment love. Throw on a jumpsuit and your outfit is instantly sorted, and I can get on board with having that kind of convenience in my life.

CHRISTMAS JUMPERS

No words necessary, really. I even included one for our furry little pals in life! This year’s Christmas edition for me was a men’s penguin Fair Isle ‘ugly’ jumper from Penneys, bought for €12 in an extra large because it’s all they had left. And I couldn’t be happier with it. I might even showcase it on the blog. Granted, Christmas IS in two days… Maybe next year!
