Evening, all! So, I’m a girl. And girls like make-up, riiiight? These are the MeNow Long-Lasting Liquid Lipglosses, which is an outright lie, because I don’t remember a lipgloss lasting 5+ hours perfect wear EVER. Amazing. I’d read a thing or two about these online, and decided I’d try them out for myself.

I was on the hunt for some Lime Crime dupes because of the scandal that’s currently surrounding the company, and also because I was hit by said scandal and had to get my debit card cancelled and replaced. Needless to say, I was livid. So off I went to eBay in search of these, and when I saw the price… Well, I went a little crazy. I’m lucky that I only bought five, put it that way! I may have to nip back online and get a few more though, as I’m SO happy with them! Right, let’s get to it, shall we?

Menow #18

This is the closest dupe I’ve seen to Lime Crime’s ‘Cashmere’. I feel so accomplished having found it, as I’ve had yet to see a ‘Cashmere’ dupe even on the Dupe That website! It’s the same nude/grey(/greige?) shade that seems to alter depending on the light it’s seen in. The first day I wore this it was a pink nude, and today it was more of a let’s-blend-with-your-skintone grey nude. So fascinating. So in love with it! I didn’t think it would suit me because I’m so pale, alas, it seems to adapt, which is awesome.

Menow #20

Definitely the most wearable of all of the colours listed here. It’s an extremely pigmented and fluorescent my-lips-but-better shade, which I think would work really well with any skin-tone, especially with a complimentary blush. I find that it brings a lot of warmth to my face and gives me a bit of life when I’m knackered after a crappy night’s sleep/when I’m just home from work, which is a definite bonus alongside the beauty of the colour. As Jaclyn Hill would say, “YAAAAS!”

Menow #09

Easily the best MAC ‘Lady Danger’ dupe I have ever seen, except possibly even MORE intense? It looks quite red in the photos here, but there’s definitely more of an orange tone to it in real life. The only word I can use to describe this shade is “SHOWSTOPPER”, and yes, caps are necessary. I think that pretty much sums it up for this one? Beautiful colour, I haven’t got a bad word to say about it.

Menow #22

Another MAC dupe here! I can’t even begin to tell you how close this is to ‘Rebel’. I have it pictured above next to ‘Rebel’ and ‘Cyber’, just for comparison’s sake. Be warned, this dries a lot darker on the lips than the colour that’s in the tube. So it’s almost an in-between of the shades pictured on either side of it in the photo above. This is possibly my new favourite lip colour ever? And trust me, that statement doesn’t come about lightly.

Menow #33

A perfect dupe for Lime Crime’s ‘Wicked’, as you may have spotted above. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I swatched them next to each other! This has given me all the reasons in the world to never purchase Lime Crime again, not that I didn’t have any already, mind. I’ve struck absolute make-up gold, hence, I’m sharing it with you guys.

Conclusion

So… They’re long-lasting liquid lipsticks. They have over forty shades, if I’m remembering correctly. They don’t bleed, smudge, or fade. During swatching, I found them impossible to remove, literally. Water, no effect. Hand soap, nada. Micellar water, *shrugs* I eventually had to use an exfoliator to get them off! Seeing as I took all of these photos in one day, you can imagine how my lips feel right now, they are in need of some SERIOUS therapy! But it does tell you a lot about their wearability and longevity. And all of this for a mere… €1.50 each? Needless to say, I am enamoured. Sold. IN LOVE!
