Mesh: The Versatile Styling Option And My Outfit Secret Weapon
So… Hey. I disappeared yet again, I know. I wish I was that girl who’s endlessly motivated and churns out a post every other day. But I’m just not. And that’s okay. I’m not gonna force myself to post something mediocre just for the sake of posting something. I still want to blog, but I want my content to be top-notch and always improving.
So, I’m not going to make any false promises about having unlimited blog mojo and setting myself something to stick to when there are no guarantees. I’m gonna post what I want, when I feel like it. I hope you’ll have patience and stick by me on this, because despite my current lack of motivation, I really do love what I do. Hence, I feel the need to explain my absence as of late… I’m not going to go into too much detail, but things have been a bit crap recently.
I’m having a quarter life crisis at 23, and it. Has. SUCKED. Trying to figure out my career as well as every other detail of my life has been close to impossible, but I’m slowly realising that it is okay to not have your shit together, no matter how much easier things would be if you did. I’m taking it one day at a time (and taking every other day to de-stress – it helps), and I’m gradually getting back on the horse (of life.) Horse of life? Is that even a thing? Well, call me a creator, because it is now.
Another reason for my absence is that I rescued two little kittens outside of my apartment block nearly a fortnight ago. They’re only five weeks old at this stage, so they still need pretty much constant care. But I absolutely adore them, so giving them all of my time is anything but a chore. Aaaanyway, enough about me and more on the outfit. I wore this recently when I was visiting a friend in Belfast and since then I haven’t been able to get enough of it. The fact that I wore it for a potential night out but could still wear it casually means it gets an A+ from me.
It’s kind of amazing that everything but the dress came from eBay. eBay is the secret to all desires, I swear! I like simple, basic pieces, but I couldn’t deny this grunge-y, oversized muscle tee from Urban Outfitters. I’m 5’11 and it’s a dress on me, put it that way! I won’t lie, it was outrageously expensive originally, but I got it for half off in the Black Friday sale last year, booooo ya! I’m also only seeing now that my entire outfit is essentially a suit of mesh… A girl can never have enough mesh, right? Hope everyone’s having a great start to the week 🙂
