I actually had a totally different idea for this outfit post. It was my birthday yesterday. (Queue “Nobody likes you when you’re 23” ringing in my ears for the next 364 days) My hair is freshly dyed, make-up done, fresh outfit ready for shooting, AND a whole new potential background in the city… And it did nothing but bucket it down, all day.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t extremely tempted to shoot in the foyer of the cinema before we went to see Room. Alas, my camera wouldn’t focus on anything other than the far-too-fluorescent lights. I can’t say I didn’t try, but I have nothing to show for my efforts. Booooo! Anyway, I got up and ready to take yesterday’s photos in the town that I live in. But today’s a new day, and I decided to shoot yesterday’s purchases instead. They were just too pretty not to, I hope you’ll agree!
I’d been eyeing up grey trench coats for a while, and when I saw this in the window yesterday, I knew it had to be mine. It was a bargain too, so I couldn’t feel more victorious! And the shoes… THESE. SHOOOOOES. I remember a pair very similar to them in the days of Tumblr (lol) years ago, and I’d been obsessed with finding a pair since. There was only one of my size in Primark too, so it was meant to be!
I actually found them first on another trip a few weeks ago, but they didn’t have my size then. So I feel even better about snatching them up this time! I actually felt perfectly dressed for the weather for once in this outfit, so it’s the perfect mix for a spring outfit debut. Happy hump day, everyone, hope you’re all having a lovely week!
