A Look: Striped Wide-Fitting Trousers With A Grunge-y Twist

If you’ve been following along for a while, then you’ll know that this outfit is a pretty big deal. Why, you ask? Because anything other than skinny jeans is completely alien to me. I’ve been living in them since I was a little emo teen. And to be perfectly honest, nothing has really changed since then. I still adore skinny-fitting denim and trousers, I think they’re incredibly flattering and are what I tend to gravitate towards. So to branch out and buy something that’s essentially nothing like that was huge for me. But, they’re still monochrome and in a striped print, so two outta three ain’t bad, right?

Either way, I styled them pretty simply the first time around with neutral separates. I polished off the outfit with a grunge touch by adding in a faux leather jacket and a pair of Converse. Let’s be real, I’m never going to stray too far from my emo-for-life wardrobe!

The Striped Wide-Fitting Trousers

But yes, here they are. I was pleasantly surprised upon trying these on, I like them a lot more than I initially thought I would! First off, they’re incredibly lightweight and perfect for summer. As I said before, I essentially live in skinny jeans, which aren’t exactly ideal during the few sticky summer days that we get. These make a nice change while adding versatility to my wardrobe. They’re also super relaxed in design, with a tie at the waist to ensure the perfect fit. They’re like chic pyjamas, is anyone ever really going to say no to that? Nah, didn’t think so.

And, a final perk: they’re actually long enough for me! In fact, they’re a little too long, the ends were kinda trailing along the ground over my converse. Because I’m 5’11, I hate buying jeans or trousers because they’re always too short, without fail. But not in this case, so bravo, Boohoo!
