Update #1

I’ve been thinking about writing an update post for a while. Every post that I’ve written recently has been with a heavy heart and filled with depth. In terms of blogging, it’s what I’ve grown accustomed to. But I don’t want to be known for just that. There are actually happy parts in my life, I promise! In which case, I’m thinking that it’s time to change it up! I think blogging will become easier and smoother for me if I just write freely. Instead of striving for purpose with every post like I’ve done for the last while. Anyway, let’s catch up as I update you on every little recent detail.

The Killstar Dupe Sweatshirt

Let’s start off with the sweatshirt that I’m showcasing in this post. It’s extremely me, let’s not lie. Cats, half-and-half and completely monochrome? OF COURSE. But I kinda already knew that, because I have a very similar bag from Killstar. So similar that the only difference is that the cats have moons on their foreheads, Sailor Moon-style. I’m not sure if it’s a case of ripped off designs or if the design itself was sold to multiple retailers. I’m hoping it’s the latter. Regardless, brands re-create designer dupes all the time, in order to make popular items more affordable for the general public. (I know that Killstar aren’t exactly Dolce & Gabbana, but they’re so coveted and loved in the alternative world that they might as well be.) If you ask my wallet, it’ll tell you that it’s nothing but a good thing in this case.

Life Is Strange: Before The Storm

I don’t think I’ve ever talked about it on this platform, but Life Is Strange is my favourite game series thus far. Since I started playing it two years ago, I became completely obsessed and entirely connected in an emotional sense. I won’t go into details and spoil it for you, but I’ve left the trailers for both games below. I’m now playing the prequel, aptly named Life Is Strange: Before The Storm, which I’m even more invested in. The final episode is being released on December 20th, which means I’ll probably be sobbing the whole way through Christmas break… Yay?

Anyway… If you do decide to play these games, please play Before The Storm first, as the sequel obviously contains spoilers. Also, prepare yourself. There’s some seriously sensitive content in these games, and a whole lot of tear-jerkers too. I think that’s why I love it so much, it’s completely deep and meaningful and I can’t help but relate to it. I’ve decided that I’m getting my first tattoo in the new year, which will be dedicated to my undying love for this game. It’ll be quite small, but really pretty and absolutely packed with meaning. I should probably be mildly terrified as I’ve never been tattooed before, but I really can’t wait!

My Week In General

Agh… This one’s a mixed bag. Work’s bedlam at the minute, and life’s a little gloomy right now for several different reasons. Even though I don’t feel it, I’m trying to keep positive, and doing my very best to get back into the swing of things. I mean, right now I’m at home sick from work, feeling sorry for myself and eating Doritos like they’re going out of fashion… But we’ll let that slide for today. I have another long weekend the week after next, and then Christmas break for ten or so days. I’m looking forward to all the food, all the sleep and all of the time to get my game-plan for 2018 organised to a fricking T. I say this every year, but I’m more driven than ever to make it my year from the get-go.
