Real talk: when I first bought these vinyl trousers, I didn’t wear them until four months after. The SHAME. I’m an avid wearer of faux leather, so you’d think it’d be an easy transition. NOPE. I don’t know what it was about them, I thought they were so effortlessly cool. When I saw Kat Von D wearing a pair last year when I met her, I knew that I needed some in my life. I actually tried multiple vinyl pairs prior to finding these ones. I bought two pairs from ASOS – one was so tight that they practically cut off my circulation. The others were so baggy and crinkled that they just looked horrendous in every regard. But then I ordered these Missguided babies, and all was right with the world. They’re just SO COOL. And I haven’t had a Ross from Friends moment in them yet, so I’m ecstatic in that regard!

Vinyl Trousers – The Pros and Cons
Okay, we’ll start with the pros to these vinyl trousers. I think that they have the potential to inject a chic vibe to any outfit you pair them with. They bring an effortless statement edge to any everyday look, which I just can’t help but adore. If you’re a fan of pants that fit like a second skin, then these are perfect. Fortunately they flatter all the right places on me and just sit really well. They work well with muted as well as statement separates, clashing in all the right ways. And in black vinyl, they’re super versatile, so the styling options are essentially endless. My only con with these is the dreaded squeak. With every movement. Which is super unnerving when you’re not used to it. But you can stop this by rubbing a little Vaseline/oil on the thighs, and therefore are noise-free in no time!
